I’m here for the whole journey, not just the highlight reel.
I’m Sarah Johnson: a personal branding photographer, professionally trained business and leadership coach, and the person behind Say Yes to Being Seen®. I help women in business move through the overthinking, hiding and “doing it all alone” stage, so they can build a business that feels visible, sustainable and genuinely theirs.
THIS WORK IS PERSONAL TO ME
I know how it feels to be capable — and still feel stuck.
For more than 15 years, I have done the work on myself too: working through blocks with coaches and a therapist, rebuilding confidence, changing direction and learning what helps me move forward when life and business feel complicated.
Receiving my autism and ADHD diagnoses in my forties gave me a new language for experiences I had been navigating for years. It has made me deeply committed to support that is human, practical and adaptable — not a one-size-fits-all formula that expects you to become louder, busier or someone else entirely.
WHAT I BRING TO THE TABLE
Experience, empathy and practical encouragement.
I have built my photography business from the ground up and spent years in recruitment, sales and management before that. I understand what it is to carry an idea, a business and a very full brain at the same time.
Alongside my creative and commercial experience, I completed The Ethical Coaching Company’s Institute of Leadership-accredited Leadership Academy at Member level. I now bring coaching, photography, visibility, content and business support together in a way that meets you as a whole person.
My role is not to “fix” you. It is to help you see what is already there, make clearer decisions and take confident action in a way that works for your life — with a gentle kick up the bottom when you need it.

LIFE BEYOND THE BUSINESS
The simple things are the big things for me.
I am originally from Middlesbrough — yes, I am a Smoggy and I love it — and now live in County Durham with my husband and our three Golden Retrievers: Lily, Bonnie and Ruby.
ROOTED HERE, OPEN TO WHAT IS NEXT
Wellies on, dogs nearby and probably looking for the sunshine.
I love being outside, exploring and switching off from the noise for a while. I am definitely solar charged and much happier in the lighter months than the darkest days of winter — but rough with the smooth, eh?
When I can, you will find me showing the girls too. Taking part at Crufts for the first time in 2026 was such a proud experience. My roots are firmly in the North East, although the west coast of Scotland may be calling in another 20 years or so. We will see.
For now, I am very happy helping brilliant women build businesses that give them more of the life they actually want.
